The Bylaw Officer for the City of Camrose enforces a number of Municipal Bylaws, including, but not limited to the following:
The City Bylaw Officer has authority under the Municipal Government Act to enforce the Bylaws that have been passed by City Council.
Other duties include: that of City Weed Inspector with authority under the Weed Control Act of Alberta as well as enforcement under both
the Environmental and Enhancement Act and the Agricultural Pests Act.
The Bylaw Officer is also required to assist other City departments, Government agencies and neighboring Municipalities.
The Bylaw Officer will receive complaints by phone at 672-4426, by fax at 672-2469,
by e-mail, and in
person at City Hall (Monday to Friday 8:30-4:30). Please ensure that all complaints include a name,
address, phone number, relationship to the property or individual that you are making the complaint about,
and the issue. The bylaw officer may wish to call and confirm
information, or ask further questions regarding the issue, depending on the information received.
