Ballet Camrose

- Dance classes for children 3-17
- Amateur performances at community events and festivals
- Annual examinations
- Classes in ballet, creative movement, lyrical, jazz, and tap
- Classes for high school credit include history, modern, and character
- Exams in ballet, creative movement, jazz, tap

Camrose Academy of Dance
Located: Chuck MacLean Art Centre (below Camrose Co-op)
Camrose Academy of Dance is a non-profit society, which provides dance education for students,
ages 3 & up, in the Camrose area.
- Classes run from September through May concluding with all students demonstrating what they
have learned in the Year-End Show
- Classes offered: Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Large
Performance Groups, Modern, Adult
- Participation at dance festivals and competitions throughout Central Alberta
- Participation in various community performances
- Classes for high school credits available
- Low monthly fees

Camrose and District Community Band
Located: Camrose Composite High School Contact: Tom Spila, 672-1051
- Wind and percussion concert band for adults (18-80+)
- Rehearsals every Tues (7:30-9:00pm) from Sept to June
- Performs locally, participates in music festivals
- Occasional exchanges with other community bands
- Nominal membership fee
- Members must provide own instrument
Camrose Area Piano Teachers' Association

- The purpose of CAPTA is to provide mutual support and opportunities for professional development for
piano teachers in the Camrose area
- One business meeting per year in October
- Provides one or two teaching related workshops per year with guest clinicians
- Monthly social gatherings
Membership fee of $20 ($15 for students). Open to anyone presently teaching or interested in teaching piano
regardless of qualifications.
Charlie Killam Music Program
Located: Charlie Killam School, 4908-46 Street Contact: Bob Bailey, 672-7785
- Junior high concert bands, jazz ensemble and chorus
- Scheduled classes in concert band and choir. Jazz extracurricular noon rehearsals
- Open to all CKS students; jazz band by invitation/audition
- All groups participate in a wide variety of concerts, festivals, tours, clinics, and local appearances

Mirror Lake Art Club

- Group of artists that meet weekly (Thur) to paint and exchange ideas
- Offer classes with a professional instructor
- Supply paintings to St. Mary's Hospital and Bethany
Membership fee is $10 per year plus $50 to the City for use of the studio.
