Why Should I Compost?
It is everyone's business to manage waste, and the best place to begin is right in your own home!
To keep a landfill open, as long as possible we need to reduce the amount of unnecessary waste that goes into it.
Yard waste, like grass and leaves and other organic material can be composted rather than being hauled away to the landfill. By composting, the life span of the landfill can be increased, and the organic material will be used to make rich soil.
This can save the municipality money because they do not have to pay for collecting, transporting and land filling
compostable materials. They also save money on the cost of finding and developing new landfill sites.
