  1. Household Hazardous Waste Round-up and Paint Exchange

    When       Third Friday and Saturday in June and the Second Friday and Saturday in October from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday

    Where      Held At Public Works Yards, 4202 - 51 Avenue

    What       Bring your paints, pesticides and other waste chemicals for proper disposal. This free service is for household waste only.

  2. Waiver of Minimum Tipping Fee

    When       Mid-May and mid-October, every year

    Where      Camrose Regional Sanitary Landfill

    What       The $5/vehicle charge for City residents (0 to 167 kg of waste) is waived for one week, just in time for the spring or fall cleaning.

  3. Christmas Tree Program

    When       Between Christmas and end of February

    Where      Drop off Christmas trees in the compound located between the Centra Cam Recycling Depot and the City of Camrose Public Works Yards (along 51 Ave.)

    What       The City of Camrose will chip the trees and use them as a soil conditioner. Please ensure that any metals such as nails, bolts or wire are removed prior to placement in the recycling bunker.

  4. Yellow Fish Road

    Yellow Fish Road When       Varies

    Where      All around Camrose

    What       Youth groups (such as the Girl Guides and Scouts) paint yellow fish-shaped stencils on the storm sewer catch basins of residential areas of Camrose to educate residents about environmental issues.
