Industrial Park Paving 37 Street and 42 to 42 Avenue

Project Profile:
The 2007 City of Camrose Capital Budget includes the roadway construction and paving local improvement
of these industrial area roadways.
The City of Camrose will be hosting an open house for abutting property owners / businesses to discuss the
local improvement process and the associated costs. Other issues that might arise from to the proposed roadway
construction work, such as schedule of construction, will also be discussed at that time.
The proposed scope of roadway construction and paving includes the following areas:
- 42 Avenue east of 38 Street
- 43 Avenue east of 38 Street
- 37 Street from 42 Avenue to 44 Avenue
The construction project will involve:
- Spot roadway base gravel repairs
- Re-grading and possible landscaping of existing roadway ditches
- Placement of additional granular structure
- Asphalt Paving (two separate placements of asphalt, to a total depth of 125mm)
The work will be staged in an effort to minimize the impact of the roadway construction on area businesses .
Engineering:
The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering
Department.
Contractor:
Border Paving Ltd. has been awarded the contract for the road work and paving.
Budget and Funding:
This project is estimated to cost $645,000.
Schedule:
Cancelled due to valid opposition from area residents.
