Grand Drive Outfall Upgrade

Last Modified Oct 29, 07

Project Profile:

Due to the erosion that has occurred along the banks of the storm outfall and its impact on the bridge structure, the City of Camrose proposes to perform repairs to make the walkway safer for maintenance equipment.

The repair will entail removing the bridge that spans the outfall and installing erosion protective gabion baskets with large diameter rock material placed inside to dissipate the energy generated by the water when it exits the storm system.

The bridge foundation will need maintenance repairs to prolong the life of the structure.
