Camrose Drive to North Boundary Creekview

Project Profile:
This project was initiated as a condition of the Creekview Development and approved by City Council in 2007 Capital Budget.
The new Creekview subdivision (located north of Camrose Drive & west of 50th Street) began development of residential lots in 2006. One of the conditions imposed on this development was the upgrade to 50th Street along the entire length of the Creekview subdivision.
The City of Camrose Engineering department is putting plans together to construct this section of roadway which will include:
- Salvage of the existing roadway gravel structure
- Excavation and installation of storm sewer
- Excavation of road base to provide for the placement of granular structure
- Installation of concrete curb, gutters and sidewalk along 50th Street
- Asphalt Paving (to a depth of 75mm)
- Ditch / Boulevard topsoil replacement and landscaping
The work will result in 50th Street being closed to through traffic for periods of time to facilitate roadway construction.
Engineering:
The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering Department.
Contractor:
New Edge Construction has been awarded the storm sewer installation contract.
Budget and Funding:
This project is estimated to cost $600,000.
Schedule:
Storm sewer installation is complete. Granular road base has been installed. Concrete, paving and landscaping are scheduled for spring 2008.
