47 Avenue Sanitary Sewer Relining 50 and 53 Streets
Last Modified Apr 22, 08
Project Profile:
Section of the sanitary sewer piping on 47th Avenue between 50th and 53rd Streets where found to have
deteriorated more than expected and must now be replaced.
The City of Camrose Engineering Department is currently investigating which of two construction alternatives
would be most cost effective for replacing sections of this sanitary sewer line: pipe relining, or excavate
and replace.
The standard excavation and replacement of the failing sections of sewer pipe will be more disruptive to the
roadway and area residents but will be a much more cost effective alternative. The pipe relining option will
provide minimal disruption to the roadway & to area residents, but is more expensive.

The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering
