Project Profile:
This road construction project involves planing (grinding) the existing asphalt and replacing it with hot mix
asphalt. The existing asphalt has met its service life end and was scheduled in the 2006 capital budget for
reconstruction.
The project is subject to a local improvement bylaw. The City will host an open house for
residents of the area in the spring of 2006 to discuss the local improvement costs, project
schedule and gather input from property owners about existing problems such as drainage, access
issues during construction etc.
Adjacent roadways and lanes will provide an alternative access to homes in the area.
The City will provide notice of the upcoming work in an effort to minimize the impact to the motoring public.
Engineering:
The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering
Department.
