Project Profile:
The City proposed to construct an asphalt overlay of the existing road surface, which should prolong the life of the existing road structure. An asphalt planer will be used to remove asphalt along the gutter line so that the new pavement matches the existing gutter.
New parmanent lane markings will be applied, once the project is complete.
Engineering:
The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering Department.
Contractor:
Border Paving Ltd. has been awarded the contract for this project.
Budget and Funding:
The total project budget for the paving improvements is $275,000.
Schedule:
Planing of the existing road surface and paving was completed by late September.
