46 Street / North Ring Road

Storm Drainage Channel

Project Profile:

In 2003, a major storm sewer was constructed on 46 Street from 52nd Avenue to 55th Avenue. Phase 2 of this project will see the extension of this storm system upstream on 52b Avenue into the Rosebud subdivision (just south of Cam Pipe) and downstream section as part of the North Ring Road storm drainage channel.

The largest component of the 2005 work will be the north ring road ditch construction, which involves the excavation of the ultimate road ditch and the berm construction abutting the mobil home subdivision on the north side of Camrose from 46 Street to the Camrose Creek just west of 53rd Street.

Engineering:

The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering Department.

Contractor:

To be determined.

Budget and Funding:

The project budget is $1,100,000.00 funded entirely by the City of Camrose under debenture borrowing.

Schedule:

This project is currently on hold pending negotiations with adjacent property owners.
