Project Profile: The 2004 City of Camrose Capital Budget included the roadway reconstruction of 46th Avenue between 53 and 56 Streets. To accomodate Hawthorn building construction, the City postponed road work until 2005. The water and sewer service upgrades for the Hawthorn development were completed on these blocks in the fall of 2004. Site improvements including parking lots adjacent to the Hawthorn wing of Rose haven will proceed prior to roadway upgrades this spring. The 2005 roadway project includes the excavation of the existing road base and backfill with road base gravel followed by the installation of new concrete curbs & sidewalks, asphalt paving and landscaping adjacent to the construction. 46th Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic for the durations of the roadway reconstruction. Alternative parking will be made available off 47th Avenue. ![]() Engineering: The design and site supervision of this project is being conducted by the City Engineering Department.
