Project Background:
The Vallyview development is a multi staged residential subdivision development being constructed in the south of Camrose Drive around Parkview Drive.
With lot sales remaining strong, the City is proceeding with the first stage of this subdivision up to 75 of the approx. 268 lots. These lots should be available for house construction by October 1st.

Project Profile:
In the fall of 2003 the installation of deep underground utilities was undertaken with completion expected in early spring 2004. Deep utilities are installed at least one year in advance of any surface improvements such as paving and sidewalks. The majority of trench settlement occurs within the first year of installation. By delaying surface improvements we minimize concrete cracking and "dips" in road surface resulting in a higher quality product for the property purchaser.
Engineering:
The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering Department and Bel-MK Engineering Ltd.
Contractor:
To be determined.
Budget and Funding:
The budget to complete the surface component of the first phase of this development is $2,000,000 with funding from City Land Fund Reserve / Lot sales.
Schedule:
- The project is to begin in 2004 and proceed in phases through to 2007.
- Project design started in July 2004.
- A contractor should be selected in August for the first phase of surface work. Some lots may be available in the fall.
