Project Profile:
The 2004 City of Camrose -Capital Budget included the roadway reconstruction of 46th Avenue between 53 and 56 Streets.
The water and sewer service upgrades for the Hawthorn development were completed on these blocks last fall. Site development of the Hawthorn wing of Rose haven will proceed prior to roadway upgrades this summer.
The roadway project includes the excavation of the existing road base and backfill with road base gravel followed by the installation of new concrete curbs & sidewalks, asphalt paving and landscaping adjacent to the construction.
46th Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic for the durations of the roadway reconstruction. Alternative parking will be made available off 47th Avenue.
Engineering:
The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering Department.
Contractor:
To be determined.
Budget and Funding:
The 2004 roadway local improvement project is estimated to cost $300,000.00 with approximately 1/2 paid by the adjacent property owner.
Schedule:
This project has been postponed until spring 2005.
