Partially Funded by: Project Profile: The 2003 City of Camrose -Capital Budget includes the roadway reconstruction of 57th Street south of 53 Avenue. The curbs and asphalt surfacing on this roadway is in very poor condition, prompting the City to initiate a local improvement to undertake the road surface with hot mix asphalt. The Curb and Gutter must also be replaced as a function of the roadway drainage. The City will also encourage the replacement of sidewalks to complete the street improvements under the same project. In the Spring of 2003, the City plans to host an open house for residents of the area to discuss the project scheduling and to receive input from the property owners about existing problems such as drainage, etc. The road construction project involves the excavation of the existing road base and backfill with road base gravel followed by the concrete work and asphalt paving. Existing lanes will provide an alternative access to homes in the area. ![]() Engineering: The design and site supervision of this project will be conducted by the City Engineering Department.
