Grand Drive Sidewalk Replacement and Parkview Drive Sidewalk Construction
Project Profile:
1) A new sidewalk is proposed on the East side of Parkview Drive between Enevold Drive and Camrose Drive. This will complete a "Trail" Connection between the Rudy Swanson Recreational Area South to Camrose Drive and then East to the Valley. The sidewalk is proposed to be 1.5m width, which will be compatible with the trail concept, and be useable by all users (bikes, roller blades, pedestrians, strollers, wheelchairs etc.)
1) The Grand Drive Sidewalk between Camrose Creek and Grand Park Crescent is scheduled for replacement this summer. The existing sidewalk has deteriorated significantly, and is very rough. The new sidewalk will be constructed with a 1.5m width so that it is more compatible with trail users. This project was originally scheduled for construction in 2001, but was delayed because the contractor was very busy and did not have the resources to complete all of the approved work in 2001.
