Artsfest is:

  • held every year by the Arts Society throughout the month of June
  • in 2008 it will include:

    Entertainment for Jaywalkers Jamboree - June 6 th & 7 th - City Center
    National Aboriginal Day Celebrations - June 24th - Centennial Museum

CANADA DAY CELEBRATIONS 2008

  • Sponsored by the City of Camrose, Heritage Canada and local businesses and individuals
  • July 1st - Camrose Centennial Museum
  • Will include:

    Entertainment, multicultural entertainment, games and activites, cake, museum tours, souvenirs, fireworks, garage sale and hopefully more!

We are always looking for volunteers and donations are greatly appreciated.


SPIRITS OF CHRISTMAS CRAFT SALE AND SHOW

  • Sponsored by the Camrose Arts Society
  • Held in conjunction with the Festival of Trees, 3rd weekend in November at the CRE
  • We have crafters and homemade gifts from across Alberta
  • Contact person is Buffy da Silva 672-0232

Sculpture in Camrose

Sculptures of all kinds are situated around the City for your enjoyment

  • "The Hand Off" by John Beaver - located on the trail between the Camrose Senior Centre and Mirror Lake
  • "Rose incinerator" used to burn the mortgage by John Beaver - located at the Camrose Senior Centre North entrance
  • "Bill Fowler Nature Mural I" by James Marshall - located on the trail in front of the Ukranian Church
  • "Dancers" by David McNary - located in front of the Chuck Maclean Arts Centre (lower level of Co-op)
  • 2 Vikings pieces by Steve Swanson - located at Augustana Faculty, University of Alberta. One at the corner of 50th St and the other outside the classroom building
  • "Martin Luther" bronze sculpture by Danek Mozbzenski - located at Augustana Faculty, University of Alberta
  • "Bill Fowler Nature Mural II" by James Marshall - located at the Bill Fowler Centre
  • "The Meeting Place" by David McNary - located across from the Knights of Columbus on Grand Drive.
