The new Valleyview Residential Subdivision is the jewel of residential locations in Camrose. Features include view lots overlooking a pond and the Stoney Creek Valley. Several lots accommodate walk-out basements, and the entire subdivision features a park-like level of landscaping.

The Ramada Inn is now open in west Camrose next to Superstore and across from Wal-Mart. The hotel features 77 rooms and a waterslide. In front of the hotel is a new restaurant called O'Shea's. A Super 8 of similar design has now also been completed. A 79 room Holiday Inn is planned in Camrose East.

The Camrose Resort Casino opened in June of 2007. An adjoining hotel and convention centre is in the planning stage for development in 2008.

Shaw Pipe Protection has opened a new state-of-the-art pipe coating plant in Camrose on a recently acquired 130 acre site adjacent to their existing coating facility, to increase the capacity of the existing Camrose coating plant. This plant will significantly reduce lead times, meet the growing demand for insulated pipelines in the Tar Sands region, and also enable other Alberta facilities of Shaw Pipe Protection to become more focused and efficient. A third $11 million plant is planned for 2008.
