Camrose to Host 2008 World Junior A ChallengeHockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Junior A Hockey League (CJAHL), announced on Thursday, February 21 that Camrose will be the host city for the 2008 World Junior A Challenge, November 2-9, 2008. Province Provides $3.5 Million for New Performing Arts Centre at Augustana CampusThe Government of Alberta is committing $3.5 million to build a new performing arts centre for the Camrose region. Funding is pledged under the Major Communities Facilities Program.
Continental Cup of Curling – Coming to the Edgeworth Centre, December 18 – 21, 2008The Continental Cup is a unique competition, with players competing in men's, women's and mixed events which challenge the skills of the game's premier shot-makers. The top men's and women's curlers from North America are together on the same teams in an international competition against the best players from elsewhere in the world. The Continental Cup brings together 12 of the best curling teams in the world to compete in a unique competition in various curling events.
